Story
On Halloween night in 1980, you and your friends gathered at your best friend Wayne’s house for a fun evening of Dungeons & Dragons. But just one night later, Wayne mysteriously vanished. The police investigation led nowhere. Since then, his only remaining family member began to lose his mind, claiming Wayne was trying to send him messages through the flickering lights. No one in town believed him—until one day, he too disappeared without a trace…
Now, Wayne’s old house stands abandoned. But locals say that at midnight, strange lights flicker from its windows—and shadowy figures can be seen inside. Over time, the townspeople have grown used to it and forgotten the strange disappearance.
But you, Wayne’s closest friends, have decided to break into the abandoned house tonight… to uncover the long-buried truth.
Yet in the darkness… something unknown and terrifying awaits.
What Makes This Room Unique
Stranger Nights is LOST in KL (Cheras)’s most distinctive and original concept — a room that positions a Dungeons & Dragons game night as the portal through which a real mystery emerges. The Halloween setting creates immediate atmospheric richness: costumes, candlelight, and the liminal mood of a night when the barrier between play and reality seems thinnest. The D&D framing is a clever meta-layer — players arrive as characters in a game who discover their game has become real, a reversal of the escape room’s usual premise.
The live actor format escalates what could be a purely atmospheric experience into something unpredictably personal. Klook’s operator description emphasises ‘flickering lights and shadowy figures’ — sensory triggers that work within the Halloween setting without relying on jump-scare clichés. The Hard difficulty (per Morty.app) means this room rewards groups who think laterally and stay communicative under atmospheric pressure.
Ideal For
- D&D, tabletop RPG, and Halloween enthusiasts who want their hobby setting transformed into a live-action mystery
- Groups who enjoy atmospheric mystery over pure horror — suspense-driven rather than scare-driven
- Players seeking LOST in KL (Cheras)’s most conceptually original experience
- Fans of supernatural mystery fiction — Stranger Things, Dark, Twin Peaks aesthetics
Player Tips
- The D&D setting means in-world logic matters: game mechanics, player characters, and fantasy narrative may all be puzzle-relevant
- Wayne’s disappearance is the central mystery — reconstruct his movements, interactions, and state of mind from the evidence in the room
- Flickering lights are a confirmed atmospheric feature — groups with photosensitivity should check with the venue before booking
- Hard difficulty with live actors: pace your investigation and maintain group communication; the actor’s interactions carry information
- Reservation mandatory — book online at cherasc180.lostinkl.com/en/book before arriving; walk-ins are not accepted
