Immersive Story
After graduating with honors from Medical University, you are students recruited to work at the forensic examination department under the city hospital. On your first day of work, you meet Thành – a famous senior from school, currently the youngest department head here.
The first day’s work seems a bit challenging when you have to receive a difficult case with several victims whose identities and causes of death cannot be determined. You need to examine and autopsy the injuries on the victims’ bodies to proceed with the investigation and contact family members to claim the bodies. However, things are not as smooth as you thought.
Strange things keep happening, unexpected appearances, secrets gradually being revealed. A horrifying crime is being hidden. Do you have enough courage and luck to find the truth, or will your fate be no different from those victims?
What Makes This Unique
Nhà Xác is Master Escape’s most horror-focused room, setting itself in the universally unsettling environment of a morgue. The combination of actual corpses (props), forensic examination, and criminal conspiracy creates visceral horror beyond typical ghost stories. Vietnamese players particularly respond to the morgue setting, as cultural taboos around death and bodies intensify the psychological impact.
The forensic pathologist roleplay gives players a professional purpose—you’re not just trapped victims, but investigators with expertise and authority. This empowerment makes the horror more engaging; you have tools and knowledge to fight back against the conspiracy. The forensic focus allows for unique puzzle types: autopsy procedures, medical examinations, toxicology analysis, comparing injury patterns, timeline reconstruction through biological evidence.
The “unidentified victims” mystery adds tragedy—these people died nameless, forgotten, deliberately erased. Giving them identity and exposing their murderers becomes both a puzzle objective and a moral imperative. The cover-up element introduces thriller dynamics—powerful antagonists actively hiding the truth, meaning discovery puts you in danger.
Player reviews specifically praise Nhà Xác’s jumpscares and NPC performances, noting they’re “enthusiastic enough to make players lose their souls.” The morgue setting allows for effective body-related scares (corpses moving, morgue drawers opening, NPCs playing dead then attacking) that work specifically because of the environment.
Gameplay Insights
Puzzles emphasize forensic science and medical investigation—performing mock autopsies, analyzing injury patterns, matching bodies to missing persons reports, toxicology puzzles, and medical equipment operation. Basic medical/forensic knowledge helps but isn’t required; clues guide non-experts through procedures.
The morgue environment offers distinctive puzzle locations: examination tables (body analysis), morgue drawers (evidence storage, potential scares), medical equipment (microscopes, X-rays, chemical analysis tools), filing systems (victim records, case files), and possibly cold storage areas. Each unidentified victim likely represents a separate puzzle thread requiring forensic work before connecting to the larger crime.
The cover-up conspiracy suggests puzzles involving comparing official reports to actual evidence, finding discrepancies, discovering who’s behind the murders, and possibly uncovering motive (organ trafficking, human trafficking, political assassination, etc.). Vietnamese language helps interpret medical terminology, official documents, and bureaucratic cover-up language.
NPC actors may portray corpses (that suddenly aren’t dead), corrupt officials (trying to stop your investigation), victim ghosts (providing clues), or the actual murderer(s). The morgue setting makes jump scares highly effective—expect bodies to move, morgue drawers to open unexpectedly, and sudden NPC manifestations.
